TM upgraded an eSports Athelete's internet from Streamyx to Unifi after complains.

Image
Izzurdin Hisham, a PUBG mobile player knows as "Jumper" by his in-game name posted on his facebook page that his Wifi speed was too slow for him to train at home. Following the complain, TM which owns both Streamyx and Unifi, went to run a test on his area, Kuala Pilah and found out that it was already running the maximum speed. However, knowing his requirements as an athlete, they planned on upgrading to Unifi for him, despite the lack of availability for it in his area. Izzurdin also said he was part of the Yoodo Gank team, which would be representing the country at the upcoming PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL), a global tournament for first-person shooter game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). The team had won the South East Asian leg of the tournament last May and thus qualified for PMWL. By Safwan Kasim

The iPhone SE Is The Perfect Portable Gaming Device That Lets Us Play Many Console Level Games

Image
The capability for the iPhone SE to handle games are astonishing. It might not be a flagship iPhone, but it should be considered by mobile gamers who are looking to switch or upgrade their iPhone. Weighing only 148 grams, when using third party controllers, the iPhone does not exert extra pressure on your wrists or fingers which can be very advantageous for gamers. The extra weight on most smartphones weighs down the controller that really makes it hard to enjoy games when half the time you are trying to fight gravity. The iPhone SE’s lightweight makes it easier to hold the controller and the phone in place all at once without exerting too much pressure on your hands. The iPhone SE is powered by Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset that also happens to be the most powerful and fastest SoC for a smartphone. But what does that mean for gamin? Well speaking in numbers, the A13 Bionic chipset is 20% better in performance when talking about graphics processing capability in comparison to...

Sports TV Channels are turning to live esports broadcasts

Everyone miss sports for the time-being. The act of courage, triumph and orderly chaos that gives viewers passion and so many emotions is lacking due to CoviD-19. Certain sports are restarting where they left off like Football league and Formula 1 but stadiums are still closed due to fears of the virus spreading. COVID-19 pandemic has wiped out professional sports and associated revenue for TV networks, but esports is filling part of that void.  Millions of people sheltering in place has created a breakout opportunity for esports broadcasting: 1. A large portion of the internet-using population is at home 24/7, with screens as their main entertainment outlet. 2. Sports fans have few competitive live events to watch. 3. Broadcasters like ESPN, CBS, and Sky lost their most valuable content for attracting live viewers and need alternative content. 4. Star athletes and non-sports celebrities are stuck at home with wide-open schedules. In late March, 900,000 vi...
