Power Struggle to Continue After Election?

It's been two years since the 14th general election where 60 year ruling party, Barisan Nasional(BN), had come to an end, having the opposition to rise above for the first time in history. Not only did Malaysia face a single event in history, but it received another record when former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, took an oath once again being the oldest and first ever prime minister to rule twice.

Since then, so much has happened. many questioned the capability in whether this new ruling party, Pakatan Harapan (PH), in ruling the country. Mahathir, being the longest serving prime minister, had stepped up to help lead the opposition party. 

Just a few days after their win, rumours started going around on an agreement of a transfer of power between Mahathir to former deputy Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim. Yet there were many delays in setting a time or date with Mahathir claiming he needed more time 'to clean up the mess', resulting to serious tension among the coalition and parties themselves in February. 

With the sudden step down of Mahathir, falling into place of being interim prime minister, he planned on forming what he called a 'unity government' outside political parties. However, the king had stopped this after naming Mahathir's right hand man, Muhyiddin Yassin, the eight prime minister. 

Now, the United Malays National Organization is back its power. The former prime minister, Najib Razak, is still facing trial for corruption. And, the canceled Malay-China projects appear to be moving forward.

What will happen after the next election, will BN rise again to power once more or will PH continue to remain in power despite commotions?

100, 000 Subscribers For Sugu Pavithra

Youtube sensation Sugu Pavithra have hit 100,000 subscribers earning them a Silver Play Button award.  The news was announced by Pavithra herself in her Youtube video 'Unboxing the Silver Play Button'. Pavitra and her husband Sugu reportedly celebrated the achievement with their family and friends with fried chicken and a cake. The couple started their channel on 28 Jan this year, the couple's videos which mostly focus on cooking local dishes specifically done in Bahasa Malaysia gained popularity especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO). “The first person I want to thank is Seri as she introduced YouTube to me and taught me how to make and upload videos on YouTube,” she said in the video.
