As a player, Zainal known for his physical prowess and
his ability as a utility player. He has won many trophies with Selangor and
Pahang, winning three league titles, two FA Cups and four Malaysia Cups.
Zainal, 57, retired as a player in 1999 and has
continue his winning ways as a football coach by joining Pahang and led them to
win two FA Cups and one Malaysia Cup. He currently coaching Melaka United in
the Malaysian Super League.
