Training SOP for all Malaysian athletes
Malaysian athletes are one of the sides that have to
face the consequences of Covid-19 as they are not eligible to train and prepare
for their upcoming competition.
The National Sports Council (MSN) said that they will
prepare a guideline for national athletes to return to their training. MSN
director-general Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail said they would work with other
stakeholders to come up with a standard operating procedure (SOP) for athletes.
The government has slowed down the movement control
order, which was enforced from March, at the same time allowing outdoor sports
activities which don’t involve body contact and large gatherings. This involves
individual sports and outdoor activities like jogging, cycling, golf and
running provided that social distancing is practiced and zero physical contact.
