Minh Beta’s single VIET NAM OI – DANH BAY COVID (Let’s Fight COVID!) was released last week amid Vietnam’s first week in lockdown due to the global pandemic Covid-19, which has affected almost 1.5 million people worldwide according to Worldometer.
Officially endorsed by the Ministry of Health in Vietnam, the catchy song aimed to lift the spirit of Vietnamese during the fight against the pandemic.
Co-produced by Minh Beta and YellowBlocks, the music video quickly went viral. With positive yet touching lyrics, the video features Minh Beta and guest stars in an interesting superheroes twist.
“Our belief in the impact of this project has enabled us to move mountains to execute the campaign within 2 weeks,” said Minh.
“We chose the superheroes concept to appreciate the unsung heroes who are tirelessly working in the front lines of the pandemic (namely doctors, researchers, soldiers, reporters…), and also call out the heroic virtue in each individual to support the fight.”
In 2014, Minh returned to Vietnam to start a new cinema chain, Beta Cineplex after having graduated from Harvard Business School. His business, alongside with others in the service sector were forced to close when Vietnam began battling with Covid-19.
The move to write a song deeply resonates the affect felt emotionally, as well as economically. And also echoes the resilient spirit of Vietnam: to keep on fighting and never give up.

Tottenham Hotspurs just won with the score of 1-0 against Everton but that was not the highlight of the game though. There this one incident that actually attract everyone attention towards the game. Spurs captain, Hugo Lloris and their winger Son Heung Min looks like they had a quarrel after the half time whistle blown. On the way to the tunnel, two of them clashing with each other and even their teammates had to stop them. The manager, Jose Mourinho, says that this incident was something “Beautiful”. This is because he wants his players to be critical towards each other on field. After the match, Lloris wants to clarify as what has happen inside just stays inside. It being said that Lloris were mad at Son as he do not drop down to help the team to defend just before the half time ended. By Kamal Nizam

The strokes have returned after a seven-year hiatus as they release a new album titled “The New Abnormal.” Post-production is handled by Rick Rubin. Its safe to say this album is very different from any other strokes album. The band known for its high-driven energy sounds approach a more electronic vibe. Some songs in the album has a sad vibe to it like “At The Door” and “Not The Same Anymore” which isn’t synonym with The Strokes past style. Released on April 10, each and every member from the original lineup decided to stick around and record this record. Frontman Julian Casablancas, legendary guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., rhythm guitarist Nick Valensi, bassist Nikolai Fraiture and drummer Fabrizio Moretti all returned to the studio. “The New Abnormal” features nine tracks, clocking in at just above 45 minutes. The Strokes show how well-defined they are after nearly 20 years of playing together. The opening track, “The Adults Are Talking” sounds exactly how you’d ...
